Add a true icon of American paper money to your collection: a Series 1899 $1 Silver Certificate, the famous "Black Eagle" note, graded PMG 55 About Uncirculated.
The face is dominated by a majestic bald eagle with outstretched wings, perched on an American flag in front of the U.S. Capitol. Small portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant flank the "SILVER CERTIFICATE" panel below, with a blue Treasury seal and blue serial numbers. The back is printed in rich green with ornate lathework and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – SILVER CERTIFICATE."
This example shows bright paper, bold black and green inks, and strong eye appeal for the grade. PMG's label notes a pinhole in the note. It is encapsulated and certified by PMG; the certification can be verified at PMGnotes.com.
